you can’t really call the whites back then that did this hillbillies… prominent ass white people were the ones ordering a lot of that shit.. or carrying it out themselves. even django shows that. 

ALL humans are fucked up. It’s fucked up too that they were selling their people to them.

Lets get this str8 for the last fucking time. Africans are and were not a homogeneous group of people. They did not identify themselves by their skin color. They were not selling their “brothers” or “fellow Africans” they were selling prisoners of war, outsiders or criminals.

And Africans, like every other civilized race of brown people coming into contact with white people for the first time, thought white people would be civilized to treat their slaves with the same respect they treated them with (i.e. eventually allowing that slave to be acclimated into the tribe that imprisoned them, and thus gain freedom through assimilation).

Instead, they not only never got any profit from the trade, but eventually white people—like always—decided to cut out the middle man and stab their allies in the back and start just mass kidnapping people from their tribes and villages so they wouldn’t have to purchase POWs from wealthy African royalty anymore.

And if you wanna contest this, I can always consult with the historians at the Point of No Return in Badaguri, Nigeria which was the largest slave port in the area, or I can even go back home to my mother’s village, whose people managed to escape the slavers because they hid within the mountain caves and made it look like the town was abandoned. And for those who don’t know, Okpella is DEEP in midwestern Nigeria…the white folks went that deep into Africa to take people and use them as chattel.

So miss me with that “blame shifting” bullshit. Don’t be mad because you’re STILL benefitting from the violently racist and criminal history of your forebears.
